Peacock Cafe Restaurant Review:
The brothers Farivar have created a Georgetown spot that solves all your dining-out problems---at least on weekends. Brunch here on a Belgian waffle, lunch on the Gorgonzola-rich bistro burger and dine on the fancy shellfish bowl of mussels, crayfish and scallops on a tangle of pasta. One brother seats customers, chats with old-timers (this has become a neighborhood meeting place) and keeps service flowing. The other brother creates his simple, elegant fare from market-fresh produce, meats and fish. The restaurant’s clean, straight lines and mirrored walls look sophisticated yet casual. Late night, the bar turns into a singles hangout. Expect crowds from lunchtime on---many are regulars who love to linger over coffee or drinks.
