Not only are the kitchen’s ingredients locally sourced, so is the artwork on the walls of this French restaurant in the quaint town of Maplewood. The menu, which changes daily and seasonally, features dishes such as herb-crusted roast filet of Atlantic salmon served with lentils du Puy, roasted cauliflower, wilted cucumbers and roasted tomatoes with beurre blanc; and braised sweetbreads (ris de veau) with mushrooms and Madeira paired with Himalayan red rice, ginger-honey glazed carrots and haricots verts. The wine is carefully chosen featuring affordably priced French and American vintages. Verjus also features an extensive line of single malt scotches.
