Zorba's Bar & Grill Restaurant Review:

You may feel like you've walked into a private Greek men's club as you make your way past the chummy clutch of coffee drinkers at the bar. But persevere; there are friendly tables waiting for you at the back of the bar and upstairs. A peek into the kitchen through the glass window on the first floor reveals lamb, pork and chicken being spit-roasted over a hardwood fire, while whole rockfish and lamb chops sizzle on the grill. It’s not a place to go if you have a vegetarian in your party, obviously, but there’s a compelling view, and an even more compelling flavor when those tender, smoky morsels arrive to go with your bottle of retsina. (Photos of Anthony Quinn in his prime are pretty compelling, too.) Vegetables, except for potatoes, can be hopelessly overcooked, but the pork is topnotch, as are the lamb chops. Absolutely order the grilled octopus. The prices seem a little higher than at many Greektown stalwarts, but the portions are huge.
