![]() : Celebrity chef Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill started off in New York and expanded to Las Vegas and now this Nassau outpost at The Cove in Atlantis. Appetizers such as his signature blue corn pancake with barbecued duck or shrimp with roasted garlic-corn tamale and cilantro sauce are fine examples of his vibrant Southwestern-inspired cuisine. The menu also incorporates local flavors as in the Bahamian spiced chicken skewers with mango vinaigrette; crispy conch with hot and sweet yellow pepper sauce and mango relish; and pan-seared mahi mahi with island curry-coconut sauce, black-eyed peas and rice. Other entrée options include steaks and classic Mesa Grill dishes such as the New Mexican spice-rubbed pork tenderloin with a sweet potato tamale and crushed pecan butter. For dessert? Churros dusted with cinnamon and star anise sugar with chocolate dipping sauce maintain the Southwestern theme. The smart bar, which, like the ultra-contemporary dining room, overlooks the sea, specializes more in tequila than wine. |
