Millennium draws a diverse clientele: animal rightists in canvas shoes, heart patients mending their ways---and the curious. The softly lit room and comfortable seating mean that someone has finally created the right setting for healthful and inventive food. Appetizers might include grilled potatoes with tomato relish and herb aïoli or grilled rosemary polenta. Entrées are equally intriguing: a socca crêpe made from chickpeas and nuts filled with a wine-flavored ragoût or a truffle purse with French lentils and a dark cherry Pinot Noir sauce.
