THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Momofuku CCDC Restaurant Review:

Manahattan’s super-trendy Momofuku graces DC’s CityCenter. Its interior is classically nouveau with streamlined stools, tables and booths; an open kitchen and bar area; and a section available for private groups. By its front door is the Milk Bar, where passersby who have neither the time nor the money to dig into funky Asian treats can pick up sweets --- cakes, cookies, pies, breads, buns and snacks to go. But the big draw is the restaurant’s buns, noodles and ramen bowls. The fried chicken dinner is available only at night and by reservation. The lucky patron gets two whole fried chickens --- one Southern, one Korean --- with appropriate sides. But who can turn down the always-available buns, stuffed with the choice of pork, shrimp or flavorful brisket? Kimchi stew makes a filling entrée, assuming you don’t keep eating the buns. A short wine and beer list offers good pairings for your meal, but you may want to kick it all off with a special house cocktail, like the Penicillin. A rotating daily list of wines will keep you on your toes, but so will the punchy drinks.
