It’s trendy. It’s upscale. And it’s also rather funky, as in California cool. At lunch (the only meal served in its Carytown location), Mosaic becomes a thriving hotspot with an emphasis on pita and roll-up sandwiches and lusty salads. You place your orders at the kitchen counter in the back and take your seat. There’s a creative spirit behind the menu choices: Pitas range from such treats as the brunch pita (grilled veggies tossed with scrambled eggs) to the roasted lamb pita stuffed with herbed lamb and a cucumber-yogurt dressing.
