Mykonos Restaurant Review:
Our first choice for Greek is this understated little asylum on a busy corner of Coral Way. Mediterranean Island food is fitting in the intense and kindred South Florida climate. This family-run hole-in-the-wall buzzes with local businesspeople and secretaries at lunch, then quiets at dinner. Ideal hot weather eats fill combo plates heaped with spinach-and-feta-stuffed spanokopita, tangy eggplant dip and cool cucumber-and-yogurt tsadziki to swipe with fresh pita bread. Robust appetites spring for casseroles’ Hellenic cousins such as macaroni-based pastitsio or eggplant-based moussaka, both baked under a snowy béchamel blanket. Mykonos features Greek wines, and they’re worth trying.
