THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Nona's Italian Kitchen Restaurant Review:
Despite its trendy Buckhead location, only one dinner entrée (the shrimp and filet mignon) tops $20. That kind of deal would make any Italian grandmother smile, although she would probably also notice that it should be spelled nonna. Start your lunch or dinner with eggplant fritters, a patty of diced eggplant stuffed with mozzarella and served with a warm tomato sauce. Share them as a first course, or make them a light vegetarian entrée with a salad. There are plenty of inventive pastas for light eaters. Heftier main courses include a luscious roasted pork with garlic mashed potatoes. Chicken saltimbocca on baby spinach and pancetta salad is deliciously different. Vegetarians should take note this is one place that offers them more than salads. Dont miss tiramisu for dessert. The wine list is primarily Italian, of course, and theres a reserve list that goes all over the planet and offers one or two older bottles. In good weather, the terrace is splendid and offers a good view of Buckhead. Come early, even on weeknights.
