Stumbling across this restaurant for the first time can be rather a surprise. The cheerful, buttercup-colored building with its steep, shingled roof and exuberant flower boxes is just like something you'd see on a cobbled street in Austria or Germany---but here it is, a block from the ocean in Shell Beach. The founders of the restaurant emigrated from the Old Country and brought all the recipes along with them. We recommend the smoked pork loin, cabbage rolls and stroganoff---but be forewarned, everything on the menu is rich and heavy. Half a dozen varieties of schnitzel are also available. Of course, you should go the distance with a frosty stein of imported beer.
