THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Osteria del Mondo Restaurant Review:
Chef Marc Bianchini's simple Italian fare beautifully blends old-world cooking with new-world techniques and presentation, all the while emphasizing regional ingredients, as in Wisconsin duck breast with cinnamony Granny Smith apple purée. Fresh homemade pastas may be ordered up as first course plates or entrées; either way, the ravioli with jumbo lump crab filling in white wine-Cognac sauce and spinach pasta with rich veal ragù delight. House specialties include seared tuna with Tuscan olives and balsamic-truffle dressing and grilled boneless rib-eye with buttery herb sauce. Osteria del Mondo also offers one of the state's finest Italian wine lists. A prix-fixe menu consists of three, four or five courses for an Italian culinary tour.
