THIS RESTAURANT IS NOW A PRIVATE EVENT SPACE Patricio Restaurant Review:
Patrick Concannon did what he had wanted to do for a few years. He opened a separate adjunct restaurant to showcase his upscale specials that always stood out from the mostly mediocre Mexican food at Don Juan’s. The storefront, which shares Don Juan's kitchen, has limited hours and a more intimate feel. The menus, however, are now the same at both spots. Choices might include nachos with chorizo, tortilla soup and Baja fish tacos. Of course, every rule has exceptions, and the bistro beef medallions with herbs and chipotle bordelaise is a marvelous one. Desserts are nothing special, but the wine list offers lots of offbeat, reasonably priced choices by the glass or bottle, and you can make up your own flight of four tasting portions. Service tends to be pleasant but pokey.
