Pearlz Restaurant Review:

The buzz surrounding the original Pearlz on East Bay Street led to a second establishment in West Ashley’s popular Avondale neighborhood. Both serve up a fun and lively atmosphere and embarrassingly high numbers of bivalves. Apalachicolas are the staple house oysters, but several shellfish du jour can crop up, including Malpeques, local Folly River options and umamis. The oysters come with crackers and cocktail sauce or just a little lemon and horseradish. Pearlz serves other options too, like respectable mahi tacos and an interesting take on crab pizza. Go with the sample platter to savor the many items.
