The grande dame of local seafood eateries, Phillips has figured out that fish and shellfish can segue into the fast food market as well as, say, beef. To that end, they have launched what well may be a series of eat-and-run fish places as slick and shiny as a newly scrubbed penny. Although management admits that it prepares but does not cook its food---this gets delivered from Phillips' main kitchen elsewhere---you won't be disappointed by the fresh taste and lively flavors of its fare. We sipped on its trademark cream of crab soup and enjoyed its famous crab cake sandwich. Of course, with a take-out focus, don't expect a full-course seafood meal, though you'll get to sample its take on grilled and fried mahi mahi, butterflied shrimp and tilapia. Don't leave without a portion of the luscious Key lime pie. All this adds up to quality fast food eating at take-out prices.
