: Cincinnati’s iconic Findlay Market is home to this Vietnamese eatery, and its location in the city's market district means it’s surrounded by the freshest ingredients. Vegetarian and vegan restaurants are in short supply in Cincinnati, and this place became popular quite quickly (so much so that the owners opened another outpost with a similar menu). You’ll find the best pho in the area, with crisp bean sprouts, hot peppers, Thai basil, cilantro, lime and the appropriate sauces. But start with a salad roll or a spring roll; you'll be angling to get to every bit of the peanut sauce. Specialty items include beef stew (brisket inflected with lemongrass, tomato and carrots, served with noodles) and the brisket French dip on a baguette. End your meal with an iced drip coffee with condensed milk and you'll be ready to take on the rest of the market or just go back to work. Beverages also include Vietnamese limeade, coconut juice and soybean milk. |
