The Promenade Restaurant Review:

The gilded Promenade at The Dorchester is one of London’s glitziest venues for tea. The afternoon repast comes in different guises, but it’s all gorgeous with all the usual accompaniments, of a very high order. Bookings can be hard to come by so be sure to reserve in advance. (Afternoon Tea £38.50, Champagne afternoon tea £48.50.) All-day dining is available as well, featuring a menu of salads, sandwiches and pizzas, as well as main dishes such as rosemary crusted lamb with bubble and squeak, carrot and cardamom purée, and roasted pepper jus. A pianist plays in the afternoons and a jazz duo takes over in the evenings.
