THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED RA Sushi Bar Restaurant Restaurant Review

: Adorned with dark woods and dramatic red splashes, this coastal restaurant feels private and secluded despite the presence of big bay windows that open up to the seashore across the street. Yet the venue may have the best location in downtown Huntington Beach, as it is a couple blocks west of perpetually bustling Main Street and all of its associated riff-raff. As the name suggests, sushi and sashimi is the name of the game, and it comes in the form of traditional rolls, as well as specialty crafted bites such as the smoked salmon and mango-infused Crazy Monkey Roll. There's also a rather good portion of Japanese fusion dishes to enjoy, including the grilled sashimi-grade salmon served with garlic green beans and a spicy yuzu sauce, or the black mussels sautéed in garlic and seasoned soy sauce. Desserts, such as the lightly battered cinnamon tempura gelato, also display a blend of East and West. The late-night crowd can sit at the bar and order from a nice list of sakés, plus beer and wine.
