Restaurant de l'Ange Restaurant Review:
German gourmets rub elbows with Alsatian locals at this picturesque establishment dating from the seventeenth century. Pierre Ludwig's inventive bill of fare fills both of his dining rooms, one done up in winstub flavor; the other more elegantly appointed. Taking his inspiration from time-honored regional recipes, he works basic and not-so-basic ingredients with extraordinary finesse (leg of lamb grilled with rosemary), and dreams up some truly remarkable desserts, like the vanilla crème brûlée. Mostly regional cellar. Warm, gracious welcome.
