The margaritas flow liberally and there’s an exhibition taco bar under a palapa, a thatched roof like you would find in Puerto Vallarta or other beach resorts south of the border. The stroll to your table through this huge cavern of a restaurant is worth the sustenance that more than makes up for it. The food is basic, but flavorful. Among specialties are an array of salads, charro beans and Mexican rice, cheese enchiladas, pasta chipotle with shrimp, chicken breast ranchero, filet poblano and roasted pork carnitas. Save room for the sublime flan with whipped cream. Ricardo's accommodates small parties in its alcoves made private with trellises.
