Ristorante Terrazza Danieli is located on the terrace high above the Canal Grande on the top floor of Hotel Danieli, offering a first-rate view and a dining experience to match. Chef Dario Parascandolo mixes influences of the Orient with “0 km” (local) food products. He calls it slightly fusion. Venice is a fish-oriented town, and the offerings from chef Parascandolo’s kitchen follow that focus; however, the primary component is surprisingly different in its preparation via the use of spices and flavors reminiscent of the days when Venice was the main port for Eastern imports into Europe. Signature dishes include linguine with red mullet, pumpkin risotto, or the vegetarian caramelized vegetables composition with organic tofu in soya sauce. The dessert menu has homemade ice creams and a house-recipe tiramisu “Danieli” with mascarpone cream and Marsala. Wine selections from Italy and beyond give diners ample choices to pair the right wine with a dish.
