: Master sushi chef Takafumi Takeda presents a panoply of specialties with authenticity and skill. The sushi bar is always busy, as are the tables full of happy lovers of fish and soy. Among à la carte appetizers, we like the edamame (steamed soybeans in their shells) and the seared shrimp on a sugarcane skewer with baby greens, slivered almonds and Oriental vinaigrette. The raspberry teriyaki salmon with braised baby bok choy is a favorite, as is the spice-barbecued chicken breast with mango-citrus salsa. Try the pad thai---wok-tossed shrimp with bean sprouts and crushed peanuts in a Thai chili sauce. For a hearty dinner, go for the rib-eye steak seared in Asian spices. Entrées are served with a side dish such as Oriental slaw, wok-tossed stir-fried vegetables or wasabi mashed potatoes.
