THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Segafredo Zanetti Restaurant Review:

While the small plates concept may confuse some, Michael Peterson’s clean, precise cuisine won’t. The former Grand Street Café chef is back on his game. Mâche is tossed with a mellow balsamic vinaigrette and sprinkled with dried cranberries, sliced pears and Maytag blue cheese. Fish, fowl and beef are well-represented in dishes ranging from a diver scallop-Chilean sea bass combo to seared duck breast served with a spicy foie gras-kissed fried rice. A selection of Cool Flavors (ahi tuna tartare) precedes a list of Hot Flavors (grilled lobster tail served with gnocchi). With just a quartet of Bigger Flavors, clearly the plates are meant to be shared. The first American franchise of the Segafredo Zanetti Italian espresso chain, Segafredo can be pricey. Just as ownership has tweaked the outlandish costumes the pretty and female waitstaff must endure, let’s hope prices are dropped just a smidge, too.
