Drawing a clientele who gather for the very authentic menu, this Rockville eatery offers several columns of dishes most Westerners may find totally unfamiliar (yes, there is a Chinese-American section). The Sichuan beef noodle soup provides a comforting meal with tender scallion pancakes as a tasty accompaniment. Wary patrons may need to sort through the menu carefully, or end up with duck blood curd in Sichuan sauce. Hot, really hot, is the dish of deep-fried tofu with peppers. There’s plenty here to please, however, and the desserts, such as crispy sweet taro rolls, won’t turn up in many other local eateries.
