STK Chicago Restaurant Review:

It’s a see and be seen scene at this River North outpost of The ONE Group’s successful NYC-based STK, which breaks the steakhouse mold by catering to women and showcasing a sleeker, modern design. Steaks come in different sizes, from six ounces to eight, 10 and 14 ounces for hungrier meat-eaters. Choose-your-own toppings include foie gras, truffle butter and king crab and a range of sauces from classic béarnaise to chimichurri for the skirt steak, and zingy, Worcestershire-based STK steak sauce. Don’t forget the manageable-size sides, such as sweet and creamy corn pudding served warm in a mini cast iron pot and truffle fries stacked like a Jenga game. Plush leather booths, facing the opposite tables, help guests catch all the action, while white floral bouquets and an overhead light fixture resembling white ocean waves offset by black accents throughout the dining room create a mod, clubby vibe. A chic bar and lounge off to the side of the front entrance has seating for after-work drinks and snacks, or a more casual dinner and fun night out.
