Sun in my Belly Restaurant Review:

At her popular neighborhood bistro, owner-chef Alison Lueker-Ritter covers the culinary waterfront, serving everything from breakfast to brunch and offering take-out and catering services. Occupying a historic one-story commercial building in Atlanta's Kirkwood neighborhood, the restaurant takes advantage of classic details, from white painted concrete block to hardwood and concrete floors, the latter left natural, softened only by an area rug near upholstered seating. Well-spaced tables --- many of them two-tops --- suggest this is a couples’ destination. At breakfast, the famous biscuits, lightly lavender caressed, and pimiento cheese star. Lueker-Ritter even makes her own Boursin cheese, and enfolds it into soft scrambled eggs. Honey-glazed bacon is the house specialty, but we prefer it unvarnished, which is an option. Panini and other sandwiches compose lunch. For dessert, selections vary, but if the bread pudding warmed in the oven is offered, go for it. Revelator coffee from Birmingham, Alabama, makes a fine finish. The wine list is short but well-chosen and fairly priced. Check the special events schedule for pop-up dinners with special themes, and ask about The Breakfast Club.
