THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Susanna Foo Gourmet Kitchen Restaurant Review:
Susanna Foo, who almost single-handedly elevated the Philadelphia area's notion of Chinese cuisine, presents her top-shelf offerings to a Main Line crowd every night in Radnor. Against a sleek setting of dark bamboo screening, shimmering scarlet drum chandeliers and a vast, sophisticated bar, Foo’s menu of handmade dumplings is a precursor of what’s to come. Try the classic pork pot stickers redolent with garlic and ginger, or go fusion with the popcorn pork ravioli in a brown butter sauce. You’ll recognize many of the dishes: moo shu pork, kung pao chicken, panko-crusted crab cakes, honey walnut chicken with mango and ginger, and the spicy Jamison Mongolian lamb with Chinese eggplant. There’s a vast maki selection, sushi, pad thai and a stir-fry of fiery Malaysian fried rice that could be habit-forming.
