Tapas on Ann Restaurant Review:

This little sliver of a restaurant is one of the most charming nightspots downtown (and also a draw among the cubicle set come lunch break). Flashier, trendier, and more cutting-edge than the West Hartford original, it draws a young, hip crowd. From the clever, colorful bar comes all manner of flirty cocktails; the adjacent open kitchen sends out many of the signatures you find at its sibling---Greek salad, souvlaki, gyros and falafel among them. But the Ann Street crew likes to get adventurous some nights, changing the blackboard menu to feature nifty nibbles like grilled chorizo and calamari. It also sends out something called Tapas Nachos, or garlic chips topped with tomato, chilies, Spanish cheese and a Greek yogurt sauce---it's silly fun, and tasty to boot. Tapas on Ann fills up quickly, and the decibels can be high when it's going full-tilt---but the interesting, globe-roaming selection of wines by the glass acts as a soothing antidote.
