Leaving the tactics of Italian countryside kitchens to the team over at sister restaurant D’Asaro, the chefs at A. Tavola have taken a modern, cosmopolitan approach on their recently revamped menu. Dishes such as lobster ravioli and grilled prawn spiedini owe as much to California culinary influences as Mediterranean ones, while the mesquite-grilled salmon with Yukon gold potatoes hails straight from the Pacific Northwest. Nibblers will want to start off with the A. Tavola Sampler, which offers up five different starters for a very reasonable per-person price. An extensive wine list is heavy on Central Coast and Napa/Sonoma vintages.
