Toast Restaurant Review:
Toast has a multi-page menu of creative American breakfast, lunch and dinner dishes so interesting it’s hard to decide what to order. The setting is whimsical; the high-ceilinged room was created to make guests feel as if they are seated inside giant pieces of toast. An open kitchen is constantly bustling, and fun to watch while you wait for your meal. Chef Mike Garcia’s signature dishes include pumpkin pecan pancakes; toasted sandwiches of asparagus, Fontina, prosciutto and chopped tomato; chicken, watermelon and jícama salad; brick-pressed chicken; and hoisin short ribs, to name a few. The menu is also seasonal, so you’ll find plenty of daily specials. Try the hunky bread pudding or house-made individual fruit pies in spring and summer.
