THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The Trinity Irish Pub & Carvery Restaurant Review:
Every thing in this slammin' Irish pub was brought across the sea from Ireland piece by piece, including the tin ceiling tiles and the handsome bar. The menu is not authentically or exclusively Emerald Isle, so Americans unfamiliar with delights such as bangers and mash will find many other dishes from which to choose. They include the 12-ounce rib-eye that is served with wild mushroom sauce, a meaty grilled portobello, Irish Cashel blue cheese mashed potatoes and string beans on the side; or the apricot-stuffed boneless pork loin that comes with apple fritters and a heady whole-grain mustard sauce. True to Irish tastes, potatoes are served in great variety: scallion mashed potatoes, a truffle potato cake and more. Although not open for the morning meal, late risers will appreciate The Trinity's "All Day" Irish breakfast that has both white and black puddings, eggs and potatoes. On the "pub grub" section of the menu there are temptations such as a beer-battered burger and curry fries. The service is very informal and while not always fast, it is pleasant and well meaning. The dessert list, though small, is pure indulgence with a laudable toasted oatmeal and Jameson crème brûlée.
