THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED NAMES Village Marquee Grill & Bar Restaurant Review:
Marquee is the beautifully designed restaurant nestled next to the Village Theater, at tony shopping center Highland Park Village. Both the theater and the restaurant received a handsome and tasteful renovation by entrepreneur Brian Twomey in which little expense was spared; the glass-walled patio on the second level, overlooking the entire shopping center, is especially grand. Done in a retro-modern style with warm wood panels and eye-catching geometric fabrics, the restaurant feels chic yet casual; take note of the original balcony, left intact, in a well over the stairway. On the ground level is an open kitchen, presided over by Andre Natera, former chef at The Fairmont Dallas. Creative cocktails are devised by mixologist Jason Kosmas, and the dessert menu includes a clever movie-themed chocolate tart topped with salty, homemade caramel popcorn.
