THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Vong's Thai Kitchen Restaurant Review:
This quiet, relatively affordable and eater-friendly Thai restaurant is nonetheless not the most authentic (or interesting) in Chicago. The pared-down menu and no-attitude service goes a long way to elevating its popularity. Start with the Peking duck rolls or the VTK Rocket Roll, a crunchy take on a spring roll with lemon-chili dipping sauce. Other dishes of note are the penang curry shrimp, tamarind barbecue pork satay and spicy garlic chicken. Ordering family-style is an option, too; “Black Plates,” which come with a choice of entrée and dessert, are $24.95 per person.
