THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Yanyu Restaurant Review:
After much hard work, talented chef Jessie Yan opened her upscale Chinese restaurant offering classic Chinese cooking to showcase her own particular polish. Unlike her more casual restaurants---Spices and the two Oodles Noodles---Yanÿu brims with elegance, from the lacquered, gold-tipped chopsticks to the fine ceramic tea service and the portraits of the Chinese emperor and empress. The customers take it all seriously and expect a particular kind of Chinese feast. So dont expect egg foo yung: Its not that kind of restaurant. Instead, savor the fresh abalone poached in superior stock and the jumbo prawns glazed with a crunchy exterior and spiked with shredded garlic. Dont skip the superb Big Duck with its crackling, fat-free skin and succulent flavors. Wind up your meal with the jasmine tea and the gingery crème brûlée. Memorable food.
