Yauatcha Restaurant Review:

Restaurateur Alan Yau (of Hakkasan fame) started this tea house and dim sum venue in 2004 and still remains as CEO. It has evolved since its beginnings; the ground floor tea room has shrunk as the basement restaurant has become more popular. It serves some of the best dim sum in town, from pork and prawn to steamed vegetables, from poached Peking chicken to roast duck pumpkin puff, light and delicate with such appealing flavours you’ll find yourself ordering more and more. Otherwise, go down the Cantonese classic route with an equally wide range of choices, from stir-fry rib-eye beef in black bean sauce to baked chicken fillet. Then there is the tea room, where topnotch East-West tastes mingle in confections like spiced macaroons. And the tea list is legendary. Dim sum £4-£15.
