: A trip to the downtown Neiman’s has always been at the top of the list for anyone visiting Dallas. And that means a stop at the Zodiac for lunch. Continuing a tradition dating back to Helen Corbitt’s reign in the 1950’s, diners are presented with a basket of crusty popovers served with whipped strawberry butter as soon as they're seated. We could make a meal of those, but soldier on and try one of the crispy crab cake burgers or the steakhouse salad with Green Goddess dressing. Dessert offerings include the Neiman Marcus cookies, which actually didn't exist until 1995 when executive chef and vice president of Neiman Marcus Restaurants Kevin Garvin created an espresso chocolate chip recipe worthy of the urban legend. |
