Because the Papagayo Peninsula location is such a large part of this resort's appeal, it's a bonus that it boasts its own golf course, where players can spend eighteen holes immersed in the mountainside setting. Designed by Arnold Palmer, the course features cliff-top greens, deep ravines and ocean views from fourteen of the holes. Hazards include the 61-meter downhill tee shot from the signature sixth hole, as well as mischievous monkeys vying for attention in this Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. When not putting and driving the days away, guests can enjoy activities such as fishing, surfing, sea kayaking, outdoor yoga, rainforest walks and even volunteering in the local community.
