Urban Eats Bistro + Bar + Market Restaurant Review:

This two-story tribute to the local food movement offers a downstairs culinary-and-arts market and an upstairs bistro and bar featuring craft beers, American wines and beef sliders. Pop over in the morning for coffee and sweet pastries and then come back for lunch or dinner, which should always start with the baked-to-order rosemary and garlic monkey bread. Just don’t fill up on it, because you’ll want a side of the 3 Pig Mac and Cheese. It’s a porcine wonder of smoked bacon, pancetta and honey-glazed ham infused with white truffle oil. There are salads and soups plus a braised dish of Brussels sprouts with caramelized onions for lighter eaters. But the menu stars are the signature sliders. The Cowboy in particular will satisfy with its juicy sirloin burger topped with bacon, onion strings and cheddar stuffed into a fluffy sesame seed yeast roll. Oh, and it’s dressed with a bourbon barbecue sauce. That’s a cowboy-worthy meal. Sweets are made in-house or come from local bakers. All are lovely, but the standout is the lemon meringue tartlet.
