FLIP burger boutique Restaurant Review: Just north of Buckhead's core, Richard Blais's FLIP offers a menu presenting a wide variety of burger choices, three of which you can get on a slider sampler. The beef burger is made from locally raised grass-fed meat; in addition, some of the “burgers” are vegetarian while others focus on seafood, turkey, lamb and chorizo, to name a few. Fries are crisp and delectable, especially with the smoky mayonnaise; we also like the sweet potato tots with Blais's trademark blue cheese foam, and the house-made fried pickles with ranch for dipping. The short wine list touts enough decent reds to make a by-the-glass choice easy. Good bottled beers and a few fine draughts also are available. The place is famous for its use of foie gras in milk shakes and as a burger ingredient (that version rings in at $19). Speaking of milk shakes, consider splitting one for dessert. Also located at 1587 Howell Mill Rd. NW, 404-352-3547; and 644 N. Highland Ave. NE, Little Five Points, 404-815-1127.
