Chef Dominique Crenn will open Petit Crenn in San Francisco

Billed as an "homage to her mother and grandmother's cooking," and featuring cuisine reminiscent of her native Brittany, Dominique Crenn's upcoming Hayes Valley restaurant Petit Crenn is said to be shooting for an early August opening. Set in the space that housed Bar Jules for eight successful years, the sister offshoot of Crenn's famous Atelier Crenn will be a casual café and restaurant with all-day service, including a prix-fixe dinner option most evenings. Daniel Humm and Will Guidara, the forces behind Eleven Madison Park and The NoMad, will open a third restaurant in New York City. There are no details about the spot except that it will be located at 425 Park Avenue and won't actually fire up the burners for another two or more years. Read more...

Former "Top Chef" contestant Nyesha Arrington (ex-Wilshire Restaurant) will open her first restaurant, Leona, on Washington Boulevard in Venice in August 2015. Expect “progressive California cuisine” with local sourcing and pan-cultural accents, like a slow-braised short rib, coastal seafood cocktail with watermelon and tomato, and sweet corn ice cream with fresh turmeric on white peaches and rose water.
