When the owner purchased this expansive property on the island's highly revered Rendezvous Bay, he envisioned a lavish home where he could entertain clients, family and friends. Those plans were altered, however, when he was informed of a local law that limits foreigners to building only resort properties on the beachfront. Rather than abandon the project, he decided to break ground on his first undertaking in the hotel business. After all, he had a tremendous business pedigree stemming from the ownership of the ubiquitous Cuisinart small kitchen appliances and the versatile line of Conair personal grooming products.

Inspired by the iconic architecture of the Greek island of Mykonos, the CuisinArt Resort exudes an ambiance of relaxation, which is furthered by the island tunes reverberating throughout the property. With its beautiful whitewashed villas and lush foliage, the resort offers the type of setting that even the most discriminating traveler is searching for.

Designed as a showcase for the natural marriage of cuisine and art, the property does indeed live up to its name—offering some of the finest dining in the Caribbean as well as an impressive collection of fine art throughout the grounds. The property features its very own hydroponic garden—the first of its kind in the world in use by a hotel—which supplies the poolside restaurant Café Mediterraneo and Santorini restaurant with the majority of its herbs and vegetables to complement fresh lobster and other local delicacies.

The 93 rooms on the property feature colorful Italian fabrics and furniture imported from around the world, creating a comfortable atmosphere. All rooms feature magnificent views (the island of St. Martin is in plain view, boasting mountains that seem unlikely in this beachfront setting) and large bathrooms set in Italian marble are accented by deep bathtubs. Enhancing the relaxing theme of the property is the immense Venus Spa which overlooks the infinity pools and the sea. This full-service spa offers anti-aging treatments, mineral baths with Anguilla sea water, and numerous massages and body treatments that will make you wish that you never had to leave.
