Sprawled on the beach of Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula, the JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa is a world-class Caribbean retreat overlooking crystal waters and white-sand beaches. Connected to its sister property, the CasaMagna Marriott Cancun Resort, by a skywalk the property features 449 tasteful, spacious guest rooms and suites with ocean views from private balconies, twice daily maid service, 24-hour room service, fluffy bath robes and slippers, purified water systems, individual climate control and more.

Guests lounge on the picturesque white sand beach or at the large infinity pool, quiet "adult pool," or 20-foot dive pool complete with an artificial coral reef. Active visitors enjoy two tennis courts lit for playing at night, diving classes, golf and workouts at the health club overlooking the ocean and lagoon. Other possible activities such as exploring nearby Mayan ruins, visiting a bullfight, taking in a folkloric ballet, and exploring traditional markets add color to your stay.

Five restaurants and lounges include the casual Mexican-themed Café Salsa overlooking the sea. Guests enjoy a full American breakfast buffet of fruits, fresh baked breads and muffins, eggs Ranchero, pancakes, omelets and chilaquiles. The upscale Gustino Italian Beachside Grill serves Italian cuisine and seafood; and then there's Beach Walk Market and Pantry, a poolside bar and grill with a mini market and gourmet deli.

The resort's proudest asset is its 35,000-square-foot spa with Mayan inspired treatments in 17 treatment rooms, incorporating the healing qualities of fruit, stone, crystal, mud, incense and milk. The Kin Ajaw Massage features a massage with a warm exfoliating cream from temazcal herbs, oats and floral oils, followed by refreshing guaje water and a marine sponge bath. Facials are also native Indian inspired such as the Turquiose Skin, featuring exfoliation via coco shell, indigenous mud with marine extracts and a white quartz massage.
