The fame of Shutters on the Beach has expanded beyond the City of Angels and spread worldwide. Its classic architecture has made it a landmark for travelers. So, sitting on the balcony overlooking the Santa Monica Bay, flanked with the Pier on the right and the Pacific Ocean as a backdrop for traditional brunch menu items is quite a delectable moment. And it looks like I am not the only one in the know, as all the tables were occupied.
The Sunday I went, chef Sean Runyon was offering a lobster club sandwich as a special. It was done with the right balance of ingredients. Hopefully, it will be permanently added on the menu of this quintessential Los Angeles dining destination.
