Labor Day Weekend in Las Vegas

1. August 30-September 2, 2024 – Sammy’s Island at Palms Casino Resort.

Sammy’s Island at Palms Casino Resort will offer poolside fun all Labor Day weekend.

– From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, August 30, will be “Ladies First,” hosted by DJ Jenna Palmer and featuring cabana specials, free champagne from 10 a.m. to noon and special $59 rosé packages.

– From 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 31, Sammy’s Island will host a free Trojan pep rally featuring USC’s Marching Band ahead of their Vegas matchup against LSU.

– On Sunday, September 1, Sammy’s Island will host a ticketed viewing party for the USC vs LSU game from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

– The pool will close out the holiday weekend with its “Swimdustry Mondays” on Monday, September 2, with DJ JD, complimentary cabanas and beer for Nevada locals and specials on Don Julio and Ketel One.

2. September 2, 2024 – Toasted Gastrobrunch.

– Top of the World, famous for its views from a 360-degree rotating dining room, will feature its Summer Sparkler cocktail crafted with Grey Goose Essences strawberry and lemongrass vodka, Amaro Nonino, lemon, strawberry and Fever Tree sparkling cucumber, priced at $21. A starter of fried green tomatoes with crab and shrimp etouffee and hot sauce beurre blanc, priced at $22; and an entrée of smoked huli-huli chicken with marinated bone-in chicken thigh, caramelized sweet plantains and orange vinaigrette, priced at $48, will also be available throughout the weekend.

– Specials at McCall’s Heartland Grill will include the Golden Hour cocktail made with Tanqueray Sevilla orange gin, Chinola passion fruit liqueur, Italicus Bergamot, yuzu and Vanilla Dream, priced at $18; the surf and turf entrée featuring Jacks Creek Australian Wagyu tri tip, grilled shrimp, garlic and herb roasted red potatoes and a barbecue grilled vegetable skewer, priced at $52; and the cast iron skillet chocolate chunk cookie with house-made vanilla ice cream, priced at $12.

– PT’s Wings & Sports, View Lounge, REMIX Lounge and 108 Drinks will offer domestic drafts, priced at $6; red, white and blue jello shots, priced at $5; and bourbon cream soda crafted with Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, bourbon cream and Dr. Brown’s cream soda, priced at $12. PT’s Wings & Sports and View Lounge will also be serving the smoked meat lover pizza featuring white cheese sauce, smoked brisket, smoked sausage, bacon and barbecue sauce, priced at $23; and a smoked pork belly sub made with jalapeño slaw, pickled onions, fresh cilantro and garlic aioli, priced at $24.

– At Swim & Social, the rooftop pool on the eighth floor of The STRAT, guests can enjoy poolside bites and drinks. Specials will include a Casamigos frozen margarita, priced at $12; bottle service with the choice of Casamigos blanco tequila or Casamigos reposado tequila, priced at $200; a jerk beef sandwich featuring jerk seasoned marinated skirt steak, shredded lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, jalapeño aioli and pepper jack cheese, priced at $22; and shrimp boil with shrimp, smoked sausage, red potato, corn on the cob, garlic bread and Cajun butter, priced at $31, with the option to add Cajun salmon for $6.

– Meanwhile, STRAT Café is offering domestic bottles, priced at $6; and a Philly cheese steak made with thinly shaved steak, grilled onions and peppers, cheese sauce and French fries, priced at $17.

8. August 30-September 2, 2024 – Proper Eats Food Hall

Proper Bar will offer Bottomless Mimosas and Bloody Marys.

Proper Eats Food Hall, on the promenade level of ARIA Resort & Casino, will celebrate the last days of summer with Labor Day specials taking place within Proper Bar. From Saturday, August 31, through Monday, September 2, Proper Bar will offer Bottomless Mimosas and Bloody Marys for $21. Please note that guests must be seated within Proper Bar to claim this special and are limited to two hours.

9. August 31-September 1, 2024 – Sgrizzi by Chef Marc

Sgrizzi by Chef Marc will offer food and drink specials on Labor Day weekend.

Sgrizzi by Chef Marc will be closed on Monday, September 2, but diners can enjoy food and drink specials on August 31 and September 1. Available in the bar only from 5 p.m.-7 p.m., enjoy $10 martinis and 50% off the beef tartare and caprese salad.
