This is a good place for pre-theater dinners, or any other time for that matter. Bright paintings by local artists (all for sale) decorate this bare bones dining room in an old townhouse. The food, billed as Mediterranean comfort food, is mainly Italian, which means that the homemade pastas and fried calamari are a notch above the norm. Sprightly, fresh salads and a first rate vegetable napoleon should please vegetarians, but carnivores will appreciate the braised lamb shank or roast loin of pork with plum sauce. Try their version of tiramisu, or the creamy gelato.
