Founded by Bi-Rite Market owner Sam Mogannam and directed by Sarah Nelson and a young team of food advocates, 18 Reasons nonprofit and community event space in the Mission District hosts all manner of food-related events. Pop-up dinners, guided wine, beer and spirits tastings, cooking classes and guest speakers from farms and the greater food world comprise some of 18 Reasons' diverse endeavors. Don't miss the drop-in-only La Cocina Night Market events held the last Saturday every month, showcasing wares from food entrepreneurs from the famous Mission community kitchen. Monthly community dinners are only $10 per person.
