315 Restaurant & Wine Bar Restaurant Review

About the restaurant: The petite setting and hearty, flavorful fare at 315 Restaurant & Wine Bar have all the trappings of a classic French bistro. (At the bar, guests can order from a separate menu of $10 plates, such as crispy calamari or duck fat Brussels sprouts.)

About the food: Many of the entrées are prepared simply, like the signature steak frites sauced with au poivre, béarnaise or herb butter, as well as the mussels, served with thick potato wedges atop a broth of white wine, garlic, lemon and herbs. For appetizers, consider the hearty house-made charcuterie plate, or squash blossom beignets. Chef Louis Moskow's menu changes seasonally, and whenever possible he sources ingredients from the local farmers market. To sanctify your French dining experience, try the crème brûlée or the chocolate pot de crème.

About the wine: The impressive wine list has 400-plus wines by the bottle (and half bottle) and around 25 by the glass. The focus is on France, but you'll find many other areas represented.
