315 Restaurant & Wine Bar Restaurant Review: The petite setting and hearty, flavorful fare at 315 have all the trappings of a classic French bistro. Many of the entrées are prepared simply, like the signature steak frites sauced with au poivre, béarnaise or herb butter, as well as the black mussels, served with thick potato wedges atop a broth of tomato, white wine, garlic and herbs. For appetizers, consider the hearty charcuterie plate, featuring duck prosciutto and ham cured by chef Louis Moskow himself, or the basil-wrapped shrimp, fried in phyllo and paired with apricot chutney and Madras curry sauce. The menu changes seasonally, and whenever possible Moskow sources ingredients from the local farmers market. The impressive wine list has more than 250 bottles, and includes a “One and Only” selection, with only a solo bottle of each in stock. To sanctify your French dining experience, try the crème brûlée or the chocolate pot de crème.
