THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Alison at Blue Bell Restaurant Review:
Alison Barshak, who cut her teeth at Striped Bass, is now queen of the Philadelphia suburbs. Her minimalist little restaurant, originally BYOB but now offering wine and beer (no corkage fee if you still want to bring your own), is the right home for her tastes. The mostly seafood menu encompasses Southwestern, Asian and Mediterranean influences. Signature dishes change with the season, and might include skate with feta and creamy orzo, soft shell crab with tomato artichoke sauce and Parmesan seared monkfish. Desserts run from a down-home mango upside-down cake to a new-world chocolate, chile and espresso pot de crème. Bring cash, although the restaurant also takes checks.
