Greg Gentile has been in the restaurant business in Orlando for years, with Antonio’s restaurants in Maitland and Celebration where you can always count on the freshest seafood, grilled meats, al dente pasta and a decent bottle of wine. His third location is the most elegant, on the second floor of The Fountains Plaza along busy Sand Lake Road’s Restaurant Row, with a friendly, knowledgeable staff to help diners navigate the well-rounded menu of Antonio’s classics. Share a thin-crust pizza or an appetizer such as crisply fried fresh mozzarella, caprese salad or jumbo lump crab meat salad. Or go halves on spinach-ricotta ravioli in light cream sauce. Veal, chicken and fish creations round out the menu. A real treat is the zuppe di pesce all’Antonio, brimming with shrimp, scallops, fish, mussels, clams and calamari in a light tomato broth. If you crave a sweet ending, the imported tangerine or lemon sorbet does the trick. This Antonio’s draws an upscale crowd from the Dr. Phillips ’burbs, so dress nicely for this night out.
