THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The Anuenue Room Restaurant Review:
The Anuenue Room is currently closed for renovation. Chef Craig Connole showcases the Islands' bounty in The Anuenue (rainbow) Room, offering a new Hawaiian menu with contemporary accents. Connole returns to the roots of Hawaiian cuisine utilizing local produce, herbs, seafood and meats in each course. Here you'll find roasted ulu (breadfruit) soup with coconut milk and limu (seaweed), spicy chilled opihi (limpets) and limu salad with Hawaiian ferns and chili water, an appetizer pastry stuffed with baked Waianae snails and Puna goat cheese, and imu-baked pheasant with taro risotto. You won't be bored with this elegant, cutting-edge Hawaiian cuisine. You can enjoy a five-course dinner with wine pairings each evening. Diners sit on a landscaped patio with glass shields protecting them from the wind. Jade-green linen shows off signature cobalt-blue water glasses, and the walls are filled with the work of island artists such as Betty Hay Freeland and Tracy Dudley. The interesting wine list, impeccable service and the beautiful setting keep us returning.
